JOB TITLE:  Mechanical Design Engineer III

JOB DUTIES:

Design and developing products using CAD software. Perform concept and feasibility study for components/systems for automobiles. Benchmarking of competitive products. Preparing conceptual sketches of new products considering the relations between components, functional requirements, allocation of space and component geometry. Designing and developing automotive parts from initial concept through to full production. Creating detailed production drawings for manufacturing. Refining product design to meet quality, safety, regulatory, cost and other requirements. Travel and/or Relocation to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. required. The purpose of travel and/or relocation would be to work with clients on projects. The frequency of travel and/or relocation will be determined by the needs of clients. Utilize the following tools and technologies: Ansa, Hyper works, Ls-Dyna, LS-PrePost, Metapost, Python.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or related field and five years of progressively responsible experience. Two (2) years of the aforementioned five years of progressively responsible experience must have included:   Ansa, Hyper works, Ls-Dyna, LS-PrePost, Metapost, Python. Travel and/or Relocation to various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. required.  The purpose of travel and/or relocation would be to work with clients on projects. The frequency of travel and/or relocation will be determined by the needs of clients. Travel is to various unanticipated client locations within the United States. Travel is up to [50%] of time and is based upon the demands of our clients. Travel will be to work with clients to ensure that highest level of client satisfaction is achieved for each project thus actual frequency will be determined upon the needs of varying clients. Relocation is required.
